Filip Benkovic spent this season on loan at Celtic from Leicester City.

Benkovic was signed on loan by Celtic rom Leicester City in the summer of 2018 immediately after he joined the Premier League club from Dinamo Zagreb for a transfer fee reported by The Sun to be worth £13 million.
The 21-year-old central defender had a good spell at the Hoops and was a key figure in the Hoops’ domestic treble this season.
According to WhoScored, the Croatia Under-21 international centre-back made 17 starts and three substitute appearances in the Scottish Premiership for Celtic this season, scoring two goals in the process.
The youngster also played twice in the Scottish League Cup and four times in the Europa League, according to WhoScored.
Benkovic has suggested that he could return to Celtic on loan for next season.

Benkovic told The Scottish Sun: “We will have to wait and see what happens in the summer and what is the plan for me next season.
“I have spoken with Leicester a little bit about what will happen, but not too much, as I was just concentrating on Celtic.
“I wouldn’t rule out coming back, you never know where life will take you. I don’t know what will happen but I really enjoyed my time at Celtic.”
Positive for Celtic fans
Celtic will need a central defender with Dedryck Boyata leaving the club this summer, and if Benkovic does return to Celtic Park next season, then it will be a boost to the Hoops.
