West Ham United are said to be interested in Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish, with Manuel Pellegrini a fan of the attacking midfielder.

According to the Independent, Leicester City are leading the race for James Maddison and that could be great news for West Ham United.

If Leicester do sign Maddison from Norwich City, as expected, then it seems unlikely that they will target Jack Grealish too.

And that could West Ham a chance to land the Aston Villa man with less competition for his signature.

Grealish is said to be on West Ham’s radar by the Daily Express, with Manuel Pellegrini’s side keen to capitalise on Villa’s financial problems.

Initially Leicester were thought to be one of West Ham’s biggest rivals for Grealish, as reported by Sky Sports.

But it seems that the Foxes have now made £25 million-rated (The Sun) Maddison their top target for the summer.

And that could give West Ham a free run at Grealish, if they make their move soon, with the transfer starting to look a very appealing one for the Hammers.
