Leicester City have made their move for Fiorentina winger Nicolas Gonzalez, offering £30million for the Tottenham-linked star.
That’s according to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, who claims that Leicester have come forward with £30million for the Argentinian.
Fiorentina are now ‘pondering’ whether to accept the bid as they consider allowing an exciting attacking player to leave.
Gonzalez has endured a frustrating season to date.
The 24-year-old has been limited to just 11 appearances in all competitions with injuries proving to be a problem.
Gonzalez has though managed five goals in those appearances, continuing to show his attacking ability.
That’s what Leicester are seeking and the right-sided winger may now be on the move during this transfer window.

Leicester may need to be wary of Tottenham in Gonzalez race
Leicester have been seeing a quality right-sided winger for a while now and Gonzalez could fit the bill.
The Foxes will hope to get this done without any drama but they need to have one eye on Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs have held a long-standing interest in Gonzalez.
Sky Italia reported in the summer of 2021 that Tottenham were willing to meet Stuttgart’s demands for the wide man.
Gonzalez’s agent suggested that the forward preferred a move to Italy over England at the time, hence joining Fiorentina.
Gazzetta Dello Sport reported in October that Tottenham are still interested in signing Gonzalez.
Fabio Paratici appears to be a big fan of Gonzalez and has kept him on his radar for some time now.
Tottenham are in the market for another versatile attacker and Gonzalez may fit the mould as competition for Dejan Kulusevski in terms of cutting in from the right flank.
Tottenham may simply move on but with Leicester making their bid, Spurs and Paratici could yet spring into life.
