Leicester City are exploring a move that could see them sign Brazilian winger Tete amid uncertainty over his contract with Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk.
The situation in Ukraine means football is hardly the most important thing amid Russia’s attacks.
Foreign players are looking to get out of Ukraine, but just how they do that remains unclear.
The Daily Mail claim that FIFA will allow foreign players in Ukraine and Russia to leave on loan before April 7th.
However, some are seeking to annul their contracts and become free agents so they can secure permanent moves away from war-torn Ukraine.
One of those players is Tete, who is allegedly valued at around £25million but could be moving for free if players union FIFPRO get their way.
It’s stated that Brentford and Leicester are both exploring deals for Tete as they seemingly hope to secure a bargain.
Tete, 22, predominantly plays as a right-sided winger cutting in on his left foot, helping him to 10 goals and two assists in 28 games this season.
The likes of Fred, Elano, Fernandinho, Willian, Douglas Costa and Alex Teixeira have all been great success stories with Shakhtar in years gone by, with Tete their latest Brazilian star.

Tete has previously admitted that he dreams of playing for Liverpool, Manchester United and Barcelona, but that doesn’t look likely at the moment.
It instead looks like Tete may need to make a move to a side like Leicester, pushing for the top six but not quite an established super-power in the Premier League.
Leicester have been attempting to find a solution down their right side for some time now and Tete could be their solution – if they can beat Brentford.
Both sides should learn more about Tete’s contract situation this week, with the winger understandably seeking a move away from Ukraine.
