Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy has already bagged six Premier League goals this season.
Jamie Vardy has told Leicester City’s official website that he believes he is in the form of his life, after netting twice in the Foxes’ 5-2 defeat to Arsenal.
Although the striker was disappointed to lose to the Gunners, his double took his tally for the season to six, and he already tops the Premier League scoring charts.
It is a remarkable achievement for a player who spent a sizeable chunk of his career playing non-league football, and Vardy admits he has never felt better about his own displays.
“[The goals are coming] in the Premier League and I’ve never been here before except for last season, so yes it is the form of my life but right now it’s just disappointment that we didn’t get the result.”
Vardy has scored in Leicester’s last four matches, and his form has been a major reason behind their highly impressive start to the season.
The Foxes’ defeat to Arsenal was their first of the new campaign, and they currently occupy eighth place in the Premier League table.
Vardy’s consistent excellence has seen him earn his first senior England call-up, and things only seem to be getting better for the 28-year-old.
The former Fleetwood Town man will now be looking to keep his goalscoring run going for as long as possible, with Leicester facing Norwich City next time out.
