Leicester City are set to battle it out with two Serie A clubs for the signing of Rennes’ Ismaila Sarr in the summer.

The 21-year-old winger has been in fine form for the Red and Blacks this season having scored 12 goals and assisted a further 11 in all competitions so far. Sarr’s performances have linked him with a move to Arsenal and Liverpool in recent months but Leicester should swoop in ahead of their Premier League rivals in the summer.
The Foxes have turned their season around since the appointment of Brendan Rodgers and have ended the season in 9th place. Rodgers will be looking to have an impact in his first transfer window as Leicester boss and signing Ismaila Sarr would solve a key problem.
Leicester have struggled with their wide players with Demarai Gray and Rachid Ghezzal having poor individual campaigns. The pair, together, have contributed to just 6 goals in the Premier League this season which has been the cause of Leicester’s failure to achieve a top-seven finish.

Sarr would be an ideal option to come in and solve Leicester’s problem on the width and after the Senegalese star’s brilliant campaign, the Foxes should have no doubts over his ability.
The youngster proved his quality in the Europa League where he stole the show against Arsenal in a game Rennes won 3-1. His ability to perform at the top level against the biggest teams should be a welcome sign for the Foxes who will need a match-winner in their ranks to achieve their European ambitions next season.
