Premier League rivals Leicester City and Watford have enquired about the availability of Andrea Cambiaso with Tuttomercatoweb reporting Serie A giants Juventus and AC Milan are also interested.

If Cambiaso can emulate the impact of his near-namesake at the King Power Stadium, the 21-year-old full-back will be a welcome addition to Brendan Rodgers’ ranks.

The Genoa-born youngster is in the midst of an impressive breakthrough season at his home-town club, filling in effectively on the left or right of the Rossoblu back line.

Cambiaso, renowned for his dextrous dribbling skills and purposeful passing, can also feature in the centre of midfield.

And given Rodgers’ track record when it comes to developing exciting young talent – including full-backs Kieran Tierney, Nathaniel Clyne, James Justin and Luke Thomas – Cambiaso could have a bright future in Leicester blue.

The Foxes are hardly short of competition, however.

Will Andrea Cambiaso choose Leicester City over Watford, Juventus or Milan?

TMW reports top-flight rivals Watford – now under the stewardship of veteran Italian coach Claudio Ranieri – have made an enquiry of their own.

So too have Borussia Dortmund, Sevilla, Juventus and an AC Milan side level on points at the top of Serie A with ten wins and two draws from 12 games.

According to FC Inter News, Scudetto holders Inter are interested too.

It’s believed Cambiaso is out of contract at the end of this season too and, while Genoa president Enrico Preziosi is determined to tie him down to a new long-term contract, an agreement has yet to be reached.

Watford have been linked with a hatful of left-backs in recent months.

Leicester’s interest, meanwhile, comes at a time when Justin – one of last season’s top performers – is still on the treatment table.

Summer signing Ryan Bertrand, meanwhile, has struggled to live up to expectations following his arrival from Southampton.
