Everton should consider a move for the Leicester City striker.

Everton boss Marco Silva will surely be looking to bolster his attacking ranks at Goodison Park before the new season starts in just 10 days times.

Wayne Rooney has already left Merseyside, and the jury is still out on Cenk Tosun.

With this in mind, the Toffees should consider a move for Leicester City hitman Islam Slimani, with the Leicester Mercury reporting that he could be available for just £18 million this summer.

The 30-year-old joined the Foxes from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £29 million, but he has failed to establish himself at the King Power Stadium.

That is not to say that he doesn’t still have a lot to offer at the very highest level, though.

If nothing else, he would offer Everton a fantastic focal point from which to build their attacking play through, and he would be the ideal strike partner for Cenk Tosun.

In today’s transfer market, the reported fee of just £18 million for someone with Slimani’s undoubted quality would represent excellent value for the Blues, and Silva should not hesitate to bring the powerful hitman to Goodison Park this summer.
