Newcastle United are said to want Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho, but the Foxes are unlikely to want to sell right now.

According to a report in The Mirror, Newcastle United are interested in signing Leicester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho.

Newcastle are known to be looking for a striker, and they have been heavily linked with Feyenoord’s Nicolai Jorgensen in recent times.

Newcastle have been prepared to big bid for Jorgensen, but they have failed in their pursuit so far.

And it has been suggested that Iheanacho is now a name on their wishlist.

Iheanacho could be a potentially stunning signing for Newcastle, and he could be a man who Rafael Benitez could form his attack around for years in the future.

The Nigerian is still developing as a striker, but his goalscoring record when he was at Manchester City suggested he had an extremely bright future.

Iheanacho has struggled at Leicester to date, but he is just starting to hit form.

The 21-year-old has hit four goals in three appearances in 2018, and Newcastle may just have missed their chance.

With Iheanacho starting to show signs of promise, Leicester will surely not want to sell, after having to be patient so far.

And even though Iheanacho would be a wonderful addition for the Magpies to make, it seems as if there is very little chance of Benitez’s side pulling off a deal.
