Leicester lured Brendan Rodgers to quit Celtic.

Losing Brendan Rodgers to Leicester City came as a hammer blow to Celtic and their supporters.
Now it has been revealed by The Telegraph that Celtic have received £9 million compensation from Leicester.
The figure is in relation to Rodgers’ departure along with his backroom staff.
This is a decent sum for Celtic, equal to their record transfer fee Rodgers spent on Odsonne Edouard last summer.
For Leicester it’s not too much either, especially considering some of the inflated transfer fees they have spent on players in recent seasons.
Rodgers has had two games in charge of Leicester since being appointed, losing to Watford and beating Fulham.

The Foxes currently sit in 10th place in the Premier League and Rodgers will be targeting a top half finish.
