A brace by new summer signings Islam Slimani and a Ben Mee own goal gave the Champions a much needed win after last weekends 4-1 drubbing against Liverpool.

The striker opened the scoring in the last minute of the first half with a header from Christian Fuchs’ free-kick.

He made it two just after the restart with another header and Ben Mee’s own goal completed the scoring.

The win capped off a great week for the Foxes, who also won 3-0 at Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The win for Leicester puts Claudio Ranieri’s side ninth with seven points from five games.

Along with Slimani, Leicester handed a full debut to goalkeeper to Ron-Robert Zieler, who replaced the injured Kasper Schmeichel, which broke his run of 52 consecutive league starts for the Foxes.

It seemed to be the Leicester of last season, sitting back soaking in the pressure and looking to hit their opponents on the counter attack especially with Burnley putting more bodies forward in search of finding their way back into the game
