Leicester City fans are hoping common sense prevails and Adrien Silva is permitted to complete his move to Leicester City.

The Foxes ‘signed’ Silva from Sporting Clube de Portugal on deadline day but left it until the last minute and have been waiting anxiously for it to be approved.

SkySports now report FIFA received the paperwork late for the transfer… by just 14 seconds.

It is claimed the transfer ‘remains in question’, with no firm decision yet made either way.

The Mail report that as it stands, Silva is ineligible to play for the club, but Leicester have appealed the decision.

A club spokesperson said: ‘We are working with Adrien and Sporting Clube de Portugal to overcome some issues relating to the player’s registration and exploring all options to find a resolution.’
