And the powerful centre-back caught the eye, as the Foxes got past the challenge of West Bromwich Albion.
Leicester won the match on penalties, after the sides had drawn 1-1 in normal time.
Leicester actually went behind when Jay Rodriguez scored a belter, but Riyad Mahrez responded.
And Maguire was among Leicester’s more promising performers in the contest.
Maguire was hugely impressive for Hull last season, even though he was unable to stop the Tigers from slipping to relegation.
Maguire is expected to have an important role for Craig Shakespeare’s side as the season progresses.
Leicester will now go on to face the winning side from Liverpool’s contest with Crystal Palace later today in the final of the pre-season tournament.
