Chelsea have signed N’Golo Kante from Leicester City.

Leicester City supporters have taken to social networking site Twitter in order to share their disappointment at star player N’Golo Kante leaving the club to join Premier League rivals Chelsea.
The France international joined the Foxes from French side Caen 12 months ago – a signing which largely went under the radar as clubs like Manchester United and Manchester City dominated the market.
Not many had even heard of Kante prior to his switch to the East Midlands club, yet it didn’t take long for Premier League observers to start lavishing praise following a string of fine performances.

The holding midfielder wowed supporters and pundits with his intensity and energy levels off the ball, while in possession he wasn’t too shabby either as he boasted a high pass completion rate.
Kante averaged a whopping 4.7 tackles and 4.2 interceptions per league match last term, and it ultimately came as little surprise to see him widely regarded as the best transfer of the season.

Leicester’s astonishing Premier League title win was always going to cause plenty of interest in their players, notably in forwards Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy but Kante was arguably the most likely to go.
Chelsea have been on the lookout for a new holding midfielder and following weeks of speculation they now finally have their man, bringing Kante in on a five-year deal for a £30 million fee (the BBC).

Taking to social networking site Twitter, Leicester fans are obviously disappointed aren’t all so surprised, accepting what seemed like an inevitable transfer after a drawn out saga.
