Leicester City supporters are toasting Brendan Rodgers becoming new manager of the club.
Rodgers was confirmed last night by Leicester.
Fans are also claiming ‘sweet revenge’ on Celtic… 19 years on.
It was back in 2000 that manager Martin O’Neill walked out on the Foxes to join Celtic.
O’Neill became a much wanted managerial name after guiding unfancied Leicester to two League Cups.
Celtic came in for him, tempting him to run down his contract and leave when it expired.
Leicester suffered without him, spending much of their time since outside the Premier League until 2014.
O’Neill enjoyed huge success at Celtic and is still regarded as a hero at the club.
Now Brendan Rodgers is making the reverse move, quitting a trophy laden Celtic spell to take over at Leicester.
Rodgers’ move is causing more controversy, as he is switching teams mid-season with Celtic still having a chance to win two trophies.
