Leicester City could target Dean Smith as they consider potential replacements for under-fire boss Brendan Rodgers.
The Foxes have made a truly dismal start to the new season.
With six defeats in seven, Leicester have taken just one point this term – and even that was a game in which Leicester were 2-0 up and threw it away.
Rodgers found the summer window difficult but sympathy will be in short supply if Leicester lose against Nottingham Forest tonight.
Rodgers may find himself axed if Leicester do lose tonight and other managers are already being considered.

Leicester City could target Dean Smith
The Daily Mail note that Leicester love Brentford boss Thomas Frank but Sean Dyche and even Norwich City boss Dean Smith are candidates.
Smith would be a fascinating move from Leicester given that he was sacked by Aston Villa less than a year ago.
Smith played a key role in Brentford’s rise, just like Frank has, and then took his beloved Villa to the Premier League in 2019.
A boyhood Villa fan, Smith had a connection with the fanbase and guided the club to survival on the final day of his first top-flight season.
Villa were impressive in the 2020-21 campaign, hammering Liverpool 7-2 on their way to an 11th-place finish.
Expectations rose though and with Smith making a disappointing start to last term, Villa pulled the trigger and replaced Smith with Steven Gerrard.
Gerrard isn’t exactly faring much better, so maybe Villa will feel they could and should have kept Smith a little longer.
Smith moved on to Norwich City and whilst he couldn’t keep the Canaries in the top flight, he now has them in the automatic promotion spots in the Championship.
Smith has Norwich moving along nicely and his work may well have appealed to Leicester.
Few could have expected this kind of move when Smith was sacked by Villa last season, but he may be a name to keep a close eye on if Rodgers does lose his job.
