Leeds took on Leicester in the Carabao Cup.

A much changed Leeds United side fell just short of producing a shock result against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup fourth round.
Leicester won the game at the King Power Stadium 3-1, ending Leeds’ involvement in the competition.
Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan gave his view on the performance from the Whites after the game, speaking to BBC Radio Leeds.
He said: “There’s no shame going out to Leicesrer City. It was a very difficult game, they are established in the Premiership and won it two seasons ago.
“There were some great individual performances, scored the first goal, but conceded straight after that. The lads have got to be proud of themselves.”
Leeds had gone 1-0 up through an excellent goal from Pablo Hernandez in the first half, but their lead did not last long.
A poor clearance from recalled Felix Wiedwald fell straight to striker Kelechi Iheanacho, who produced an excellent finish to net his first goal for the club since his summer move from Manchester City.

The game was evenly balanced until midway through the second half, when Islam Slimani beat Pontus Jansson to a cross to fire home from close range, making amends for missing a clear cut chance minutes earlier.
Riyad Mahrez scored a third goal in the late stages, adding gloss to the scoreline from Leicester’s perspective.
Leeds had made 10 changes to the team which beat Bristol City on Saturday, with one eye on Friday’s night’s match with Sheffield United.
