Speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, Stephen Kelly has been discussing Harry Kane and his performance against Chelsea.
Kane wasn’t great against the Blues, there’s no way of covering that up. He was lacklustre in front of goal and he didn’t create many chances for his teammates either.
The striker has been out of form so far this season, failing to score a single Premier League goal thus far, and Kelly believes that he’s was looking fatigued against Chelsea.
What’s been said?
Kelly was speaking about Kane’s performance against Chelsea.
“Him and Son changed positions. He can’t be the provider and the scorer, and he’s trying to do both at the moment. He was starved of service and he looked a little bit leggy, but I just think when he drops in that far you want him further up the pitch. It’s a real balance, but the style has changed and I think he needs to adapt slightly,” Kelly said.

Needs to sharpen up
Kane was looking leggy against Chelsea, and that’s undoubtedly an issue for Spurs.
The England captain is Tottenham’s best player, and when he’s not on form the whole team suffers for it.
There are two ways in with Spurs can approach this. They can either lighten Kane’s workload and give him a rest, or continue to play him so that he becomes sharper and more match fit.
It’s a delicate balancing act, but it’s something Nuno Espirito Santo needs to sort out if his side are going to get back to winning ways and Kane is going to start scoring again.
