Erik Lamela labelled Tottenham striker Harry Kane a ‘legend’ on Instagram after he scored his 50th England goal on Tuesday night against Germany.
The Spurs hitman scored an 88th-minute penalty in Munich, as England rescued a 1-1 draw against Germany in the UEFA Nations League.
As a result of that goal from Kane, he becomes only the second man in history to hit the half-century mark for the Three Lions – he surpassed World Cup winner, Sir Bobby Charlton last night.

Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney currently holds England’s all-time leading goalscorer record with 53 goals from 120 games.
And it’s fair to say it won’t be too long before Kane steams ahead of the now-Derby County boss because it’s taken him only 70 games to reach his current mark.
Nonetheless, after the conclusion of yesterday’s game, Kane expressed his delight at hitting 50.
In the comments section of his Instagram post, he was praised by Lamela who told him ‘Legend. Keep going’, whilst Tottenham’s official account labelled his achievement as ‘incredible’.
KANE TO BREAK ENGLAND RECORD AT THE WORLD CUP?
There is a chance that Kane can become England’s all-time leading goalscorer at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
But, if Gareth Southgate continues to play him for the entire game, from now until the World Cup, then it could be broken before then.
England will face Italy and Hungary this coming week, and then in September, it’s the final set of international fixtures before the big event kicks off – Italy away and Germany on home soil.
It would be fitting if Kane did break the record on a stage like the World Cup, but he might also do it at Wembley against the Germans, which isn’t bad either.
