Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter in anger after hearing what Ryan Mason said about the disconnect between supporters and the board.
The 29-year-old doesn’t feel like the situation is as bad as some are making it out to be, a belief which is not reciprocated by the fans on Twitter.
As quoted by Football London, Mason said: “I’m not sure I entirely agree with you in terms of the friction with fans. I know a few fans had an opinion and they made it heard but they weren’t speaking for every Tottenham fan.”
To us, these comments sound as if the interim boss is desperate to just gloss over the problems at the club to keep his employers happy.
Let’s not sugarcoat it anymore like Mason has – there are so many issues at Tottenham right now.
Harry Kane wants to leave, the club is struggling to get results, and the board are simply tone deaf.
Daniel Levy and co charged supporters £60 to watch yesterday’s woeful 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa.
Those paying fans were then shoved high up into the clouds instead of being given seats in the bottom tier, closer to the pitch.

Some on Twitter claimed this was because the club wanted to keep their sponsors on the bottom tier and in sight of the TV cameras.
We’re not sure if that is true or not – it is, however, interesting.
Then, as this furious supporter’s video shows, the players didn’t even appear for their lap of honour after full-time yesterday.
That was despite the fact fans were promised a showing from the players, and ultimately deserved one after that shambolic display.
Right now, Tottenham are a club who are so out of touch with their supporters.

That isn’t even to mention the whole European Super League fiasco, which led to protests aimed at ENIC and Levy.
Mason really got this one wrong.
Let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have been saying about his comments…
