Leeds United youngster Bryce Hosannah has confirmed that he has had to undergo surgery.

Leeds United youngster Bryce Hosannah has taken to Twitter to confirm that he has had to undergo surgery, but outlined his determination to come back stronger.
Hosannah has long been considered one of the brightest talents in a Leeds academy that continues to churn out exciting prospects. Unfortunately however, the right-back has not had the best luck with injury, having been sidelined for much of last season.
It did appear that this campaign could be a real breakout year for the 20-year-old as he was included in Marcelo Bielsa’s squad for their pre-season tour to Australia, and he started at centre-back in the under-23s’ opening game of the campaign which ended in a 3-2 victory for Carlos Corberan’s men.
But it appears that the youngster has been dealt an extremely cruel blow as he took to social media on Thursday to confirm that he had undergone surgery.

Here is Hosannah’s post on Twitter…
It is not clear how long Hosannah is expected to be out for. But the positivity that emanates from his message on social media suggests that he will do everything he can to make up for lost time when he does get back out on the pitch.

He is the kind of exciting player who can definitely put this setback behind him. Supporters have got used to watching the former Crystal Palace man glide past opponents on a blistering run, and he has shown the versatility that will allow him to bolster Bielsa’s options in a number of positions upon his return.
And with Leeds’ first-team having the worst luck with injuries last season, perhaps it may not be entirely out of the question for Hosannah to still get somewhere near the senior side before the campaign concludes.
