Leeds United are benefiting from giving Charlie Taylor a chance rather than offering Stephen Warnock a longer contract.
Leeds United’s revival continues in impressive fashion, with Neil Redfearn’s side winning their fourth game in their last five outings when they took on Millwall on Saturday.
While Alex Mowatt stole the headlines with his match-winning goal, and recent loan signing Sol Bamba was outstanding at the back, young left-back Charlie Taylor put in another fine performance to give further proof that the club were right to part with Stephen Warnock.
Had the experienced full-back remained at Elland Road, it is questionable how much longer Taylor would have given his lack of first-team opportunities, but luckily for the Leeds faithful that is something they did not have to find out.
The 21-year-old was making his seventh appearance for Leeds this season, and yet again he showed what a fine young talent he is.

Two more accurate crosses were added to what is becoming an impressive collection – the youngster statistically one of the best crossers at the club – while he was not dispossessed all afternoon.
He also carried out his defensive duties well, winning two duels, three interceptions and recovering the ball on six occasions.
Leeds’ newest left-back still has plenty to learn, but he is going to do so under a manager who clearly knows how to inspire great performances from blossoming talent.
At this rate, there is no telling where the club’s next generation could ultimately lead them.
