Defender Cresswell has impressed in Leeds’ Under-18 side.

Leeds United teenager Charlie Cresswell has confirmed on Twitter that he has suffered a broken collarbone and has missed the last to Under-18 league matches because of the problem.
Cresswell, 16, is the son of former Leeds striker Richard Cresswell, who recently took over at Thorp Arch to become the club’s head of academy coaching.
An impressive centre-back, Charlie Cresswell is a regular for the club’s Under-18 side despite his young age but suffered the broken collarbone – making him miss away victories over Sheffield Wednesday and Crewe Alexandra.
He posted on Twitter to confirm he had suffered the upper body injury, with the majority of cases suggesting that Cresswell should recover from the injury within four to eight weeks, unless surgery is required.
Cresswell has an added incentive to get back to full fitness soon, with his contract at Elland Road set to expire at the end of the season. He will be desperate to prove to his Dad, as well as Leeds, that he deserves an extended deal.
Meanwhile, Leeds’ first team are next in action on Sunday afternoon as they travel to Lancashire to face Wigan Athletic in a 1.30pm kick-off. A win could see Leeds return to the top of the table.
