Midfielder Klich is set to return to Leeds this summer after his loan spell with FC Utrecht.
Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich has been linked with a move back home to Polish side Lech Poznan, but owner Andrea Radrizzani would be crazy to sell the star after rediscovering his best form on loan.
Polish outlet Polski Sport claim Poznan have been impressed with the 27-year-old’s performances while on loan with Utrecht in the Eredivisie, which saw him have a hand in four goals during his 14 appearances.
One goal and three assists from midfield saw Klich become somewhat of a creative spark at Utrecht, helping the club finish in a lofty fifth position while the midfielder’s old side FC Twente finished bottom of the league.
Klich, a 10-time Poland international joined Leeds last summer from Twente for a fee of £1.5million, but failed to break into the side with the Whites boasting midfielders such as Kalvin Phillips, Eunan O’Kane and Ronaldo Vieira.
Now, with the added January addition of Adam Forshaw, his place at Leeds could be under threat and Poznan may look to capitalise on that in the summer transfer window.
However, surely Leeds should give Klich the second chance he deserves to shine at Elland Road, after proving to Leeds staff that he has what it takes to shine following his impressive loan spell in the top tier of Dutch football.
With his confidence high, Klich is back to his best and Leeds would be foolish not to utilise a rejuvenated Klich next season in their pursuit for promotion. They must block any advances made by Poznan, or indeed any other side.
