The Leeds United wide player did not do enough to suggest he should start ahead of the club’s other options.

Leeds United winger Stuart Dallas will have seen the club’s recent transfer business and realised the importance of impressing with each and every outing.

After all, Mo Barrow and Alfonso Pedraza arrived in January to add even more strength to the Whites’ wide areas and Dallas has not exactly been pulling up trees when he has been fit and available for Leeds this season.

Against Cardiff the Northern Ireland international was given his fourth successive start, but his lack of pace and overall performance suggests it is only a matter of time before Barrow starts ahead of him.

With Alfonso playing on the left and Dallas shifted to the opposite flank, it seems Leeds boss Garry Monk may have a little experimenting to do in the weeks ahead before he settles on his best wide combination. But Dallas is a peculiar beast – a player who was slated by some Whites fans after his latest performance while others felt he was one of the few stars deserving of praise.
