Leeds winger check off milestone on international duty.
Leeds United winger Mateusz Bogusz has not had the immediate impact he wanted in the first team after a promising pre-season.
The teenager has played just one game, in the Carabao Cup, and he is waiting for a Championship debut.
He is part of Poland’s under-21 team and last night he scored his first goal.
This came in a 1-0 victory over Serbia, with Bogusz hitting a 79th minute winner.
This was just Bogusz’s third appearance for Poland’s under-21s.
He sent a message on Instagram after the win, celebrating his milestone strike.
Bogusz has not even been at Leeds a year and is only 18, so the notion that he is already in the first team discussion is a sign of his talent.
He was on the bench for the opening four Championship games for Leeds but has not been since.
This goal might be an ideal reminder for manager Marcelo Bielsa.
