Jack Clarke has taken to Twitter to thank everyone for their messages of support after he required medical treatment and was taken to hospital during Leeds’ draw with Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Clarke played the first 45 minutes at the Riverside Stadium before being replaced by Pablo Hernandez. Unfortunately, a frightening incident played out during the latter stages of the second-half as play was stopped and paramedics were seen heading towards the Leeds bench.

It was not clear for some time who was receiving treatment, but the severity of the situation was obvious and led to 12 minutes of stoppage-time – during which, the visitors equalised to secure a 1-1 draw.

It became apparent after full-time that it was Clarke who had received help. The club confirmed on their official website shortly after the full-time whistle that Clarke was responsive and heading to hospital.
