Paul Merson has predicted on SportsKeeda that Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds United will win against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Elland Road this weekend.

Leeds will take on Wolves at home Road in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The West Yorkshire club will head into the match against Wolves on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium in the league.

Meanwhile, Wolves won 3-2 against Aston Villa away from home at Villa Park in the league last weekend.

Former Arsenal star Merson believes that Leeds will pick up all three points from the encounter against Wolves courtesy of a 2-1 win.

Paul Merson’s prediction

Merson wrote on SportsKeeda: “Wolves staged a great comeback against Aston Villa last weekend in the Premier League. They were never in the game for 80 minutes or so, but they came back to win the derby 3-2 with three quick-fire goals.

“Leeds United, on the other hand, disappointed me against Southampton and didn’t even have a shot on target. This is a big game for both teams, but I just get the feeling that Leeds will nick this one.

“They are a different team at home and will look to win their second Premier League game of the season after comfortably beating Watford earlier this month.”

Will Leeds win against Wolves?

Leeds really struggled against Southampton last weekend.

In our view, Bielsa’s side will have to really step up their game against Wolves.

Wolves have won their last three Premier League games and are high on confidence.

Now, we know how good Leeds can be.

The players will be determined to bounce back, and playing at Elland Road will only enhance their chances of picking up all three points from the encounter.

However, Patrick Bamford, Luke Ayling and Kalvin Phillips all are out, and so are Robin Koch and Junior Firpo.

In our opinion, a draw against high-flying Wolves may not be a bad result for Leeds.
