Under-pressure Leeds United host top-of-the-table Huddersfield Town in a big Yorkshire derby this weekend.
To be played on Saturday 10th September 2016 at 15:00. Venue: Elland Road, Leeds
Odds: Leeds 13/8, Draw 21/10, Huddersfield 13/8
Two new faces could be present in Leeds United’s first XI as Garry Monk’s side aim to topple high-flying Huddersfield Town in Saturday’s Yorkshire derby at Elland Road.
With Leeds shipping three goals to Nottingham Forest last time out, Monk might be tempted to make changes in defence, and centre-back Pontus Jansson – on a season-long loan from Torino – could come in for his Championship debut.
Further forward, Eunan O’Kane, a deadline-day signing from Bournemouth, may displace Ronaldo Vieira in midfield to partner Liam Bridcutt.
Hadi Sacko and Pablo Hernandez might continue on the wings, providing wide support for a two-pronged attack of Chris Wood and Marcus Antonsson.
Wood has three goals to his name this season, and Leeds’ hopes of victory might hinge on whether the hot-and-cold striker is on his game or not.
The Whites have lost three times in five league outings, and another one against their Yorkshire rivals – who sit top of the table after collecting 13 points from a possible 15 so far – would do very little for Monk’s attempts to endear himself to Massimo Cellino.
