Ideguchi signed a four-and-a-half-year deal with Leeds United in January.

The loaned out Leeds United midfielder, Yosuke Ideguchi, has suffered yet another blow in what has been a nightmare 2018.
Signed from Gamba Osaka in January with a place in Japan’s 2018 World Cup squad beckoning, Ideguchi ended up missing the tournament after struggling during a loan spell at Cultural Leonesa.
Then, having returned to Leeds for pre-season training, the 22-year-old failed to convince the new Whites manager, Marcelo Bielsa, of his ability and was soon farmed out to Greuther Furth with an option to turn the deal permanent next year.
But, just four games into his career in Germany’s second tier, Ideguchi has ruptured his posterior cruciate ligament.
Greuther tweeted confirmation of the Leeds man’s injury on Tuesday, but have yet to reveal how much football he is expected to miss, or whether he will return to Elland Road for treatment.
Ideguchi, who scored once in four games for Greuther, has a contract with the Whites until 2022.
Is Ideguchi the most unlucky man in football?
