Leeds United take on Brighton this weekend in a big Championship clash. Leeds will be looking to narrow the gap toward automatic promotion places with a win against the Seagulls at Elland Road.

Earlier this week Brighton striker Sam Baldock spoke of their visit to Elland Road last season. Brighton won that game 2-1 thanks to a late Bobby Zamora strike – but much has changed since then – especially at Leeds.

They were managed by Uwe Rosler at the time. It was his final game in charge, getting the sack on the same day.

The starting XI was also vastly different. Leeds had Marco Silvestri in goal and Liam Cooper at centre-back. Both are still with the club, but rarely starters. Sol Bamba and Scott Wootton were also present, both released in the summer. Gaetano Beradi was at left-back.

Tom Adeyemi’s loan deal at Elland Road was never renewed whilst Alex Mowatt was sold to Barnsley in January. Lewis Cook left for Bournemouth, a player they would still like to have on board.

Chris Wood spearheaded attack, much like he dies now, with Stuart Dallas on the left-wing. Jordan Botaka, loaned out to Charlton Athletic, was on the right.

Off the bench came loan flop Will Buckley, Italian striker Mirco Antenucci and former starlet Sam Byram, all of whom are no longer at Elland Road.

From the 14 players Leeds used that day only five remain, with three regulars. The manager and coaching staff has also all changed.

A lot has happened since October 2015 and Leeds will hope that is to their benefit.
