Casilla’s new number was worn by another Leeds United player last season.

The Leeds United goalkeeper, Kiko Casilla, appears to have taken Will Huffer’s number 13 shirt for the forthcoming campaign.

Casilla wore 33 during his first half-season at Elland Road, but is now listed as number 13 on Leeds’ official website.

Meanwhile, Huffer is among the Whites players not listed, alongside Tom Pearce, Conor Shaughnessy, Callum Nicell, Ryan Edmondson and Pascal Struijk – all of whom were allocated shirts last season.

However, hether or not there is any significance to those omissions remains to be seen.

The new recruit, Ben White, is listed as Leeds’ new number 5, with the shirt having been vacant since Matthew Pennington’s loan spell ended in May 2018.

It has already been confirmed that Helder Costa will wear number 17 during his season on-loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

And White and Costa’s fellow summer arrivals, Jack Harrison and Jack Clarke, appear to have retained the numbers they wore at Elland Road last term – 22 and 47, respectively.

8, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20 and 21 are among the remaining vacant shirts at Leeds.
