Leeds United almost managed to sign Dan James last January, but the deal fell through at the last minute.

Leeds United attacker Tyler Roberts has messaged Daniel James, after the Manchester United winger scored for Wales last night.
James continued his hugely impressive start to the season by scoring for his nation in their 1-0 win over Bulgaria.
Leeds youngster Roberts, who is usually part of the Wales squad when he is fit, was delighted for his compatriot, and the £2.5 million man (Yorkshire Evening Post) reacted on social media website Twitter after he scored.
Leeds supporters may not have been best pleased to see one of their players messaging James, as it served as a reminder about last January.
Whites fans can be forgiven for thinking what might have been with James, after he came so close to signing for them.

James had posed for photos with a Leeds shirt and was at Elland Road, before Swansea pulled the plug on the deal.
If James had signed for Leeds there is a genuine argument to suggest that Marcelo Bielsa’s side may well have claimed an automatic promotion spot, given how much quality the rapid winger has.
The 21-year-old now has three goals in his first four United games, and is rapidly becoming an increasingly important player for his new side.
