Leeds United’s Tyler Roberts and Marcelo Bielsa took opposite strategies yesterday, during the Sheffield United game.

Roberts and Bielsa both held press conferences earlier, as covered by Leeds Live, and they were asked about the promotion battle, which Leeds are embroiled in.

Leeds and Sheffield United appear to be battling it out for one spot in the automatic promotion spaces, with Norwich City holding a commanding lead at the top of the table.

The Yorkshire rivals were in action on different days in midweek, with Leeds putting the pressure on the Blades by beating Preston North End.

And Roberts and Bielsa took different tactics to try and calm their nerves yesterday.

“I didn’t watch it,” Bielsa said, when asked about Sheffield United’s game against Birmingham, which took place last night.

Roberts, on the other hand, couldn’t resist keeping up to date with the game at St. Andrews.

“I kept checking the score and flicking the channels,” the £2.5 million striker (YEP) said.

In the end Sheffield United dropped points against Birmingham to give Leeds an advantage in the race for promotion.

Bielsa’s men are now one point ahead of Sheffield United, with just five games to play.
