Leeds United target Alfredo Ortuno has signed for Real Salt Lake.

Major League Soccer side Real Salt Lake have confirmed the signing of striker Alfredo Ortuno on their official website, amid recent links to Leeds United.
Ortuno, 26, has endured something of a nomadic career in his native Spain, turning out for the likes of Granada, Girona, Las Palmas and Mallorca.
The striker’s best spell came with 17 goals in 42 games for Cadiz during the 2016-17 campaign, but a move to Real Valladolid ended up in failure, as he was released from his contract in September.

Now, Ortuno is back in the game, as he has penned a deal with MLS side Real Salt Lake, where he will compete with leading striker Yura Movsisyan in Utah.
Ortuno’s move to the United States comes as something of a surprise, given recent links surrounding a possible deal with Leeds United.
Spanish newspaper Diario de Leon reported earlier this month that Leeds were intending to sign Ortuno on a free transfer, and then loaning him straight out to feeder club Cultural Leonesa in Spain.

The Spanish second division side took Ouasim Bouy on loan over the summer before returning to Elland Road on Wednesday, and Yosuke Ideguchi also appears to be heading to Cultural Leonesa via Leeds.
However, Leeds’ plan to bring in Ortuno and loan him out is now off, but Director of Football Victor Orta may well have his sights on other players to sign before loaning them to Cultural Leonesa.
