One of the most exciting aspects of the game is the opportunity to take some of the academy prospects that are still some way from the first-team and watch them become Ballon d’Or contenders, leaving supporters dreaming that those players follow a similar path in reality.
With that in mind, here is a look at the three brightest teenagers that are coming through at Leeds United, according to Football Manager 2017.

It will not surprise Leeds supporters to know that the holding midfielder is the prospect with the most potential at Elland Road, according to FM 2017.
The 18-year-old has made 12 appearances for the Whites this season alone, and is already far enough up the pecking order that absolutely no eyebrows are raised when he appears on Garry Monk’s teamsheet.

Jack Vann (CB)
According to Football Manager 2017, Jack Vann has the potential to comfortably surpass the ability of current centre-back pairing Kyle Bartley and Pontus Jansson. Given how the pair have got on this term, the suggestion that the 18-year-old could become better is a bold statement.
Unfortunately for Vann, with Liam Cooper also in contention, it will be difficult for the youngster to force his way into Monk’s plans in reality anytime soon.

If the game was released a month earlier, Bailey Peacock-Farrell would be included on this list. However, with Peacock-Farrell turning 20 in October, it is his positional rival that joins Vann and Vieira in the top three.
Oddly, the goalkeeper’s best attribute currently, according to FM 2017, is his stamina. And it will be interesting to see whether a battle between the two stoppers coming through the ranks ensues in years to come.
Leeds fans certainly will not complain if that proves to be the case.
