Leeds United’s Stuart McKinstry expresses his gratitude to Motherwell.

Stuart McKinstry’s move to Leeds United has finally been completed it seems.
The 16-year-old winger has spent much of the summer at Thorp Arch and was named on the bench in July as Marcelo Bielsa’s side thumped Guiseley in a pre-season friendly.
But there was no announcement from Leeds or indeed Motherwell, where the youngster began his career.
However, the Scottish club confirmed on Twitter on Monday that the transfer had ‘formally’ been finalised.
And McKinstry himself has taken to social media to thank the Fir Park side.
The Scot featured in a Leeds’ Under-18 side that lost 3-2 to Yorkshire Ammers last month and it remains to be seen what level he’ll be playing at this season.
A stint in Bielsa’s senior squad is almost certainly unrealistic as of right now, but being involved for Carlos Corberan’s successful Under-23 outfit on a regular basis could do him the world of good.
McKinstry spent seven years at Motherwell and it’ll be interesting to see how he adapts to new surroundings.
