Stuart Dallas has paid tribute to the “unbelievable” Leeds United fans, speaking to LUTV.
Some 31,000 people packed into Elland Road on Tuesday night to watch Leeds beat Birmingham City 2-0 to move top of the Championship.
That is a superb attendance for a Saturday game, but the fact that so many turned up for a midweek evening game is indicative of the kind of support which the Whites have.
And Dallas has paid a special tribute to those who flocked to see him and his team-mates do the business earlier in the week.
He told LUTV: “For any day of the week, for them to come here in their 30,000s is incredible, but for a wet Tuesday night is unbelievable and as players we appreciate that.
“As I said before, we can only repay them for their performances on the pitch and I think we’ve done that.”
United visit Millwall tomorrow as Thomas Christiansen’s side bid to maintain their red-hot form and preserve their unbeaten run in the process.
Leeds are the only side in the Football League yet to lose a game in any competition, having scored nine goals in their League Cup wins over Newport County and Port Vale.
Indeed, fans of the West Yorkshire club are understandably getting more and more excited with each passing week and the players will hope to keep that buzz going by beating the Lions in London tomorrow.
