Despite Mings’ prodigious talent, it is Stephen Warnock who has made more tackles and won more aerial duels this season, even though he has played in two less games.
Mings has been more of a threat from an attacking perspective, putting in 13 more accurate crosses, even though he has just one more assist. Warnock is the only of the pair to find the net.
Should Arsenal be watching at the weekend as rumoured, the clash with Leeds is exactly the type of game in which Mings will be expected to step up.
