Dharmesh Sheth says Leeds United want to offer Jack Harrison a new contract amid transfer interest from Premier League rivals, Leicester City, as he told The Transfer Show on Sky Sports (25/01/23).
The Sky reporter added that Leicester’s ‘priority’ during the January transfer window is to add a left-sided winger and they have targeted Harrison as a possible signing.
Harrison has less than 18 months left on his contract and Leeds have a big call to make on their player. They either sell him during this current window, or in the summer. Or he signs a new deal at Elland Road.

After spending several years at Manchester City, without making an appearance, Harrison first joined the Whites on loan in 2018 when they were in the Championship.
The 26-year-old helped the Yorkshire giants earn promotion to the Premier League under their legendary coach, Marcelo Bielsa, before signing for the club on a permanent basis for £11 million (BBC Sport).
But a couple of young guns, like Crysencio Summerville and Wilfried Gnonto, are now stealing the limelight this season, so could Harrison head for the exit door, as a result.
“We know one of their priority positions is a winger, a left winger,” said Sheth. “Leicester are interested in the Leeds United winger, Jack Harrison.
“This is interesting because he is in the last 18 months of his contract. Leeds do want him to extend that contract. As I said, it’s a priority position for Leicester City.
“What’s interesting is whether Leeds would contemplate doing business with Leicester, especially for a key player like Jack Harrison. They are both just one point clear of the relegation zone.
“Would Leicester be strengthening a rival by doing business with a rival?”

LEEDS CAN’T SELL TO LEICESTER
Unless those at Elland Road don’t rate Jack Harrison, it doesn’t make sense to sell the Englishman to Brendan Rodgers’s side.
The duo are level on points and one point above the Premier League’s relegation zone.
Leeds are going to need every bit of quality that they have to avoid the dreaded drop. Yes, Gnonto is lighting up the Elland Road stage.
But, at the end of the day, he is still a teenager and they can’t be putting too much pressure on the all-action winger.
