Saiz’s form since Marcelo Bielsa took charge has elevated him into the bracket of the top playmakers in the Championship, and a glance around at the fees that they have generated in terms, show just how valuable Saiz could be for Leeds.
James Maddison departed Norwich City to join Leicester City in a £25 million deal, while Jack Grealish was regarded as a £30 million prospect by Aston Villa.
While Saiz does have a few years on both Maddison and Grealish, which means he may not fetch those sort of figures, he is having a similar impact.
And if Saiz keeps his early season form up for Leeds, then he could become the most valuable asset currently in Bielsa’s squad.
