Leeds United central defender Pontus Jansson has mocked Bristol City manager Lee Johnson on Twitter.
The Sweden international centre-back has taken a swipe at Johnson for previously claiming that Luke Ayling is not good enough to play in the Championship.
Ayling, who can operate as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, joined Leeds from City in the summer of 2016.
Jansson made the comments on Twitter in response to Johnson’s remarks that he would love City to face Leeds in the Championship playoffs this season, as quoted in The Yorkshire Evening Post.
The Robins lost 1-0 to Leeds at the Ashton Gate Stadium in the Championship this afternoon.
The result means that City are now seventh in the Championship table with 54 points from 35 matches.
As for Leeds, Marcelo Bielsa’s side are second in the league table at the moment with 70 points from 36 matches, just two points behind leaders Norwich City.
The Whites will be confident of finishing in the top two and clinching automatic promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season.
