Leeds United’s Patrick Bamford is very hungry for goals, going by his latest comments.

Fit-again Leeds United hitman Patrick Bamford scored a hat-trick for the club’s Under-23 side on Tuesday – but he still wasn’t satisfied.
Bamford dazzled in a 6-3 victory over Burnley, but the Leeds striker told LUTV that he wanted as many as five goals.
He said: “It was nice. I probably should’ve had four, maybe five. Whenever there’s a chance I expect to score. I want to score, but I’m happy to get three.”
These are comments by a player who’s hungry to make up for lost time and even hungrier to score goals – and head coach Marcelo Bielsa will be delighted.
The festive period won’t make or break the Whites’ season, but hopes of Premier League promotion can take a knock if any team doesn’t manage the hectic schedule well.
Rotation will be key, but the Argentine coach, whose side have five more league games between now and January 1, has the peace of mind in knowing that Bamford’s appetite is strong and he won’t be the least bit hesitant to swap him with Kemar Roofe up front when necessary.
Yesterday was Bamford’s first start at any level since September following an injury-hit few months, but he’ll be determined to start playing senior football again as soon as possible and what a boost he will be this month and beyond.
The Whites boast a five-point cushion in the automatic promotion spots and if Bamford can bring his hunger to the bigger occasions then that advantage might well widen.
