The Leeds United man has been left out again by Thomas Christiansen.

Mateusz Klich effectively revealed on Twitter that he had been snubbed again by Thomas Christiansen, something the Leeds United boss confirmed.

Klich hasn’t played a minute of Championship football since September but Ronaldo Vieira’s suspension for tomorrow’s trip to Barnsley prompted suggestions that the £1.5 million summer signing could be in contention to replace him in Leeds’ midfield.

But the 27-year-old posted a gif of a facepalm on Twitter to suggest that Christiansnen has not included him in the squad to travel to Oakwell.

Obviously the Polish midfielder is frustrated but taking to social media with cryptic hints is no good and you wonder if he can learn a thing or two from Vieira, who is eight years his junior.

The brilliant teenager barely got a look-in under Christiansen during the first two months of the campaign, surprising given how brilliant he was last season, but he kept his head down, stayed patient and Vieira has started Leeds’ last six Championship games, before being sent off in the 4-1 loss at Wolves this week.

He is the evidence that there is a way back under Christiansen, no matter how far away regular football seems, but you wonder if Klich has jeopardised that with what could be considered quite a petulant act.

Acting out on Twitter, albeit cryptically, does him or his situation absolutely no good at all and it could be about to get a lot worse for the former FC Twente ace.

It wasn’t the most intelligent or mature way to vent and Vieira probably wouldn’t be such an ever-present figure for the Whites now had he shown the same impatience.

The fact he wants to play is a very good sign, but keeping his head down and proving his hunger in training, as Vieira did, is far more effective than expressing his disappointment on social media.
