Leeds United and Brighton & Hove Albion go head-to-head this week.

This weekend Leeds United play arguably their biggest league match of the season to date, as they face Brighton & Hove Albion at Falmer Stadium.

While the Whites have already faced Championship leaders Newcastle United, the Magpies were always expected to run away with the division. But if Leeds can overcome the Seagulls – who currently occupy second place in the table – automatic promotion will become slightly more likely.

If Leeds are to win they will need to keep Brighton striker Glenn Murray at bay, with the 33-year-old already scoring 11 goals in just 19 appearances this season and possessing the talent to fire his side into the top flight.

Leeds have a great striker of their own in the form of Chris Wood, but it is at the opposite end of the pitch where their star man will be hoping to shine; that man being Pontus Jansson.

The on-loan Swede has been nothing short of sensational since he arrived at Elland Road and it will be his job to keep Murray quiet for the whole match.

That is easier said than done, but the new Leeds fan favourite has already got the better of some top forwards this season so he will be quietly confident of doing the same on Friday night.

Whoever comes out on top between the Brighton forward and the Leeds centre-back could well be on the winning side come the final whistle.
