Marcus Antonsson’s chances of breaking back into Leeds United’s team do not look good, after his latest performance for Blackburn Rovers was slated by the Ewood Park crowd.

Antonsson has been loaned out to Blackburn from Leeds for the season, and the Swede has shown flashes of quality throughout the campaign.

However, Antonsson’s form has dipped in recent times, and Blackburn fans are now becoming frustrated with the attacker.

Antonsson was given the nod to start for Blackburn against Peterborough, but he was unable to pose much of a threat in the contest.

Indeed, it was when the Leeds loanee was off the pitch, that Blackburn did their damage – with Tony Mowbray’s side scoring two late goals to win 3-1.

And Rovers’ fans reactions to Antonsson’s latest display are sure to concern Paul Heckingbottom.

It would be a shock of Leeds did give Antonsson another go at Elland Road next season, as he has failed to really catch the eye in League One.

Leeds do need to improve their attack, but there has to be question marks over whether Antonsson has the quality required to aid Heckingbottom’s side.
