Leeds United striker Marcus Antonsson is reportedly wanted by three clubs.

Marcus Antonsson of Blackburn Rovers looks on during the Sky Bet League One match between Blackburn Rovers and Peterborough United at Ewood Park on April 19, 2018 in Blackburn, England.

Leeds United striker Marcus Antonsson is a player in demand, with Malmo, Hammarby and Brescia interested in him, according to Fotboll Direkt.

The link with Brescia is quite interesting. Massimo Cellino is the owner of the Italian club – yes, the same Massimo Cellino who was the chief at Leeds not so long ago.

It was under the term of Cellino that Antonsson joined Leeds – in the summer of 2016 from Kalmar for a transfer fee reported by The Yorkshire Evening Post to be worth £2 million.

The striker has struggled to make a huge impact at Leeds, and having spent the 2017-18 on loan at Blackburn Rovers, it would not come as a surprise if the Whites decide to part company with him for good in the summer transfer window.

Antonsson may have a familiar face in Cellino at Brescia, but it would be wise of him to move to his name Sweden where he has been a success.

True, playing for Brescia in Italy and trying to push them to promotion from Serie B to Serie A would be an advantage, but it would also be a risk for Antonsson, one he cannot take given the 27-year-old’s rather disappointing spell in England with Leeds.
