Wilks has impressed at Doncaster Rovers, earning himself a new Leeds United contract last month.

The loaned-out Leeds United striker, Mallik Wilks, was dropped to Doncaster Rovers’ reserves on Tuesday.
Wilks was suspended for Doncaster’s FA Cup defeat to Crystal Palace on Sunday.
However, the Rovers manager, Grant McCann, later revealed that they had only learned of his ineligibility at 9pm the previous evening, and had prepared for the game with the 22-year-old firmly in their plans (Doncaster Free Press).
It is therefore unlikely that Wilks’ demotion is due to anything other than a chance to maintain fitness.

The Leeds native has been in fine form for Doncaster, scoring or assisting 18 goals in 38 games for McCann’s side this season.
And he kept his scoring boots with him at Field Mill, where Rovers’ reserves were 1-0 winners.
The Leeds academy product recently signed a new three-and-a-half-year deal at Elland Road, and extended his loan spell until the summer.
