Wilks scored the fifth goal of his loan spell from Leeds United on Saturday.

The on-loan Leeds United striker Mallik Wilks has admitted that being dropped by Doncaster Rovers has taught him a lesson.
Wilks scored the fifth goal of his temporary spell against Gillingham on Saturday, having been benched for Rovers’ previous two fixtures in league and cup.
Speaking last week, the Doncaster manager Grant McCann revealed that his decision had provoked a positive response from the Leeds-born striker.
And Wilks agreed.
“I was buzzing to get on the scoresheet because I got left out of the team last week so I had to prove a point,” the 19-year-old told the Sheffield Star. “I had to work hard in training and play well when I came on at Rochdale, and that’s what I did.
“It taught me that I cannot get too comfortable. There’s always someone fighting for your spot, which is a good thing for this team.
“My performances had dropped. I was careless on the ball. When I saw Alfie May score two goals [against Grimsby] I thought this is a bit scary! He’s been training well to so he deserved it.”

McCann, who recently riled a section of the Leeds fanbase after writing off Wilks’ chances back at his parent club, claimed last week that he speaks to the Whites loanee more than he does his children.
Wilks, who finds Kemar Roofe, Tyler Roberts and Patrick Bamford ahead of him at Leeds, is in the final year of his contract at Elland Road.
The Leeds native made his one and only Whites appearance in the 1-0 FA Cup defeat at Sutton United in January 2017.
