Leeds United’s Luke Ayling has developed into one of the Championship’s most consistent players.

Lee Johnson has admitted to Bristol City’s official Twitter page that Leeds United defender Luke Ayling has done “very well” at Elland Road.
Right-back Ayling joined Leeds in the summer of 2016 under Garry Monk and has since become one of the Championship’s most consistent defenders.

The former Arsenal youth only pocketed the Robins a £700,000 transfer fee which now looks like something of a steal for United.
Ayling comes up against his former club at Ashton Gate on Saturday, and his former manager admits that the 26-year-old has impressed him.

Johnson told The Bristol Post back in March that he sold Ayling because he could not guarantee him first-team football.
But if he knew then what he knows now then surely the Leeds star would have been retained by the Robins – or at least sold for a much higher transfer fee.
Ayling has started 54 Championship games from a possible 58 since joining the Yorkshire giants.
